Aluminum Alloy

MEA only uses secondary (recycled) billet in our extrusion process. This enables us to provide the best price to our customers, as well as giving them the LEED compliance that many of our customers require.  With our many years of experience running secondary billet, MEA has been able to achieve the same aesthetics as prime billet for the customer base that we serve. MEA sources multiple companies located in North America to supply our billet, in order to maintain the best quality of product and to ensure that we always have surplus inventory to meet customer demands.

MEA’s billet suppliers are compliant under the guidelines of USGBC – LEED. The current recycled content of our billet is:

  • 10% Post Consumer Scrap
  • 60% Post Industrial Scrap
  • 30% Primary Aluminum
