Prices for purchased material came down once again in June. This was due to a decrease in the LME price which gave us a Midwest Average of $1.00 per pound in May, rounded to two places. This was a decrease of $0.03 per pound from April’s average.
May 2019 Material CostMay 1, 2019
After no change to pricing in the month of April, purchased material will be $0.01 per lb less in May 2019.
March 2019 Aluminum UpdateMarch 2, 2019
Prices for purchased material went up $0.01 per lb in March due to a slight increase in raw material cost through the month of February. Overall, aluminum prices have been holding fairly steady over the past few months. Midwest Average at the end of February was $1.04 per pound.
February 2019 Aluminum UpdateFebruary 2, 2019
Current raw material costs for Aluminum are down $0.04 per pound from where they have held steady the past couple of months. The published number for February pricing is $1.03 per pound (rounded two places).
December Material PricingDecember 7, 2018
The Midwest Average closed the month of November at $1.07 per lb (rounded to two places). This was down $0.05 per lb from where it had been the past couple of months, leading to a drop in price for December 2018. Current trend is up again in January.
